Scotland - Ukraine

The first game of the second day was opened by Scotland against top favourite Ukraine. Although Ukraine had most of the ball possession, the first chance was for Scotland. In the counter-attack, however, it was Ukraine who opened the score through Kahramanian. Ukraine remained stronger, but Scotland had some good attempts that were saved by excellent goalkeeping. Ukraine built the score to 3-0 at half-time with another goal from Kahramanian and Romanchuk.
In the second half, it was again Scotland that had the first opportunity to score and Martin Hickman was successful. However, Ukraine immediately reacted. After a lot of substitutions, the score increased to 2 โ€“ 8. Ukraine is now leading Group B by 6 points.
