To mark World CP Day earlier this week Denmark are proud to announce their latest initiative to recruit children to CP football.

For the first time ever in Denmark their CP Football Centre will hold a specialized football camp for children aged 6 - 14 with mild cerebral palsy. It will take place next summer in Korsør, Denmark from the 29th July to 1st August.

The camp will run from Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon, and it will include all meals and comfortable accommodation at a hotel close to the football pitch. Children aged 6 – 14 will be eligible to participate if they have mild cerebral palsy and they can walk unaided. There are 24 spaces available for participants, who must be accompanied by an adult.

There will be social activities for the parents while the children are training and playing football as well as family activities in the evening.

The children will be divided into groups according to age and/or ability and they will be trained by two experienced football trainers with experience of CP football. There will also be several adult volunteers to assist the trainers and staff from the Elsassfonden to provide activities for the parents. Each child will also receive a camp t-shirt, and a water bottle.

CP Football Center is a special section of the club FC Storebælt, and it is dedicated to the enhancement and strengthening of CP football in Denmark. CP Football Center is an Affiliate Member of the IFCPF.
