A crucial day at the Copa América has concluded, here's a review of everything we saw on Sunday.

ARGENTINA V URUGUAY

Dominant: Argentina proudly flew its flag high with a dominant 15–0 victory over Uruguay

Argentina stunned from the first minute, scoring 15 goals in the final score, while Uruguay showed determination and flashes of future potential.

From the very first seconds of the match, Argentina made its intentions clear. Barely ten seconds had passed when Mariano Morana opened the scoring with a surprising goal that set the tone for the rest of the game.

During the first half, the Albiceleste unleashed its full offensive power, netting 11 goals that thrilled the fans and showcased the team’s technical and tactical superiority.

Meanwhile, the young Uruguayan national team, making their second appearance in their first international matches, displayed admirable spirit. Their captain, Bruno Viera, stood out for his leadership on and off the field, constantly motivating his teammates. Despite the lopsided score, the Uruguayan goalkeeper delivered several outstanding saves, hinting at his potential as a future star.

In the second half, Uruguay showed clear improvement in its defensive strategy and managed to challenge Argentina at times, proving a quick ability to learn and adapt.

BRAZIL V CP SOCCER US

Stepping It Up: Brazil defeats CP Soccer US with a decisive 10–0 victory in their second match of the day

The number 7 did it again! He set the tone early, scoring three goals in the first half and paving the way for Brazil’s dominant win over the American side, keeping the team among the top contenders at the IFCPF Copa América 2025.

Vinicius Ribeiro continues to shine in the tournament, adding four goals in this second match of the day. Evandro De Oliveira and Lucas Da Silva also contributed important goals in both halves, sealing the team’s commanding performance.

The South American giants once again demonstrated their high level of play and are now firmly on track toward the quarterfinals.

On the other side, the North American team showed determination throughout the match, with a disciplined defense and an outstanding goalkeeper, Josh McKinney (#16), who gave everything in his area, displaying leadership, technical skill, and unwavering optimism until the final whistle.

CANADA V CHILE

Thriller Match: Canada and Chile Deliver the “Game of the Day” on the Second Day of the IFCPF Copa América 2025

Canada and Chile faced off in a heated match that ended with a narrow 3–2 victory for the North American team.

The day’s final game kept everyone on edge until the very last second. In the first half, the Canadian team scored two late goals that tipped the balance in favour of the northern continent.

From the start, it was clear that Chile wouldn’t make it easy. In the second half, they showed that the first half was just a warm-up, managing to score the last two goals of the day, with the ball dominated by Thomás Valenzuela (#10) and Cristian Del Pino (#4).

Despite fighting until the very end, the Canadian secured the win with the final goal scored by Brendan McGeachan (#7).

They did not know that yet. Quick goals from Valenzuela and Del Pino made the game interesting, but Canada held on for a famous win.

There’s no doubt that both the Chilean and Canadian teams delivered a thrilling match and promise strong performances later in the tournament.
