Moving and Shaking at Punta del Este as Day Three Concludes
NewsCrazy, chaotic, classic. Here's how Day Three went in Uruguay at the Copa Amรฉrica.
ARGENTINA 1-1 USA
A draw that tastes like history: United States and Argentina tie 1-1, luck smiles on The Stars and Stripes
In the first match of the day at the IFCPF Copa América, Argentina and the United States mesmerised spectators with a 1-1 score in the final minutes of the second half. A draw was held, crowning the United States as the morning’s winner.
Argentina took the initiative, with the ball as their compass and hope as their guide. Bautista Suárez Carboneti (#9), with firm steps and a determined gaze, opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, becoming both beacon and heart of the team, raising high hopes of keeping the victory in the southern continent. Every pass he made seemed like a moving poem, every touch a challenge to time itself.
But the United States, patient and precise, knew how to respond. Jonah Meyer-Crothers (#5) equalised in the second half, reminding everyone that football is a constant dialogue between passion and surprise.
The final result, decided by a draw in favour of the Americans, does not erase the effort nor the magic displayed by the players.

CHILE V BRAZIL
A Green-and-Yellow Recital in Punta del Este: Brazil Closes the Final Score at 8-0 Against Chile
The last match of the day at the IFCPF Copa América was a lesson in rhythm, precision, and power. Brazil asserted their authority over Chile with an 8-0 victory, in a game where the green-and-yellow magic bloomed across the Punta del Este pitch.
Chile started with order and courage. During the first half, they displayed tactical discipline, a defence that intelligently resisted Brazil’s advances, and a goalkeeper who stood strong. But Brazil, patient as those who know the pulse of the game, waited for the right moment. Two goals just before halftime sparked the fire; the rest was pure football samba.
In the second half, the Brazilian storm broke loose: rapid touches, surgical precision, and goals that looked like choreography. Vinicius Ribeiro Araújo (#7), César Batista de Aguiar (#9), and Gilberto Manuel da Silva Junior (#14) each scored twice, while Evandro de Oliveira (#8) and Angelo dos Santos Mota (#11) completed the symphony.
Chile fought, pressed, and never gave up, but faced an inspired side — one of those teams that turns every move into a spectacle.
Brazil didn’t just win: they danced with the ball, honoured their history, and made clear their ambition in this Copa.
