Japan put 10 past Malaysia in the biggest win of the tournament

A second-half blitz with eight goals from Japan saw it take fifth place at the 2025 Asia-Oceania Cup, defeating Malaysia 10-0.



Farrisan Jasnalโ€™s own goal and Tetsuya Toda meant the gameโ€™s scoreline was a respectable 2-0 at the break.

Hiroto Kageyama and Tatushiro Uraโ€™s two-minute brace started the second period, before Toda added another to make it six.

Shun Yokozawaโ€™s 58th-minute goal was sandwiched between a double for Yamato Montonakano, before Tomohisa Ono rounded off the scoring in stoppage time.
