Gr-eight Chile performance ends South Korea's slim finals hopes

Chile's hopes of qualifying for Thursday's final have been boosted, with a huge 8-0 win over the tournament's bottom side South Korea.

With a goal difference of +5, superior to that of both Italy and Northern Ireland, Chile has that advantage in terms of trying to join Scotland in Thursday's final.

Thomas Valenzuela, Javier Encisa and Patricio Saavedra all scored twice, with the latter's second goal adjudged to have been tapped home, slightly diverting Bastian Velazquez's goal-bound effort.

Leonel Guzman and Vicente Vidal both came off the bench and found the net, completing the scoring. A video explaining what they would need to progress to the final is live across IFCPF's Instagram and TikTok.
