UKRAINE - GERMANY

Favourite team, Ukraine, met Germany in their first game. Although Ukraine had almost 80% possession of the ball, the Germans managed to score twice through their fast striker David Bruns. Both goals were scored after Ukraine managed to take the lead with two goals ahead each time. Ukraine went into the halftime break with 3-2, thanks to goals from Podolski, Romanchuk and Donenko.
In the second half, Ukraine left no doubt about who was the best team. They further built the score to 8-2 and now lead Group B.
