The Irish team needed a four goals difference win to go to quarter finals. Both team were very even in the first half. Coach Stuart Sharp has to change his formation already very early in the match because of sa serious injury of one of his players. Nevertheless USA scored the opening goal. Half time: 0 - 1. In the second half Ireland scored the equalizer. USA brought themselves in trouble by receiving a red card in the 38 minute. Ireland had still time enough to score two more goals but Team USA did defence excellent with 6 man. Final score 1 โ€“ 1. USA top of the group and will face England in the quarter finals.
