Chile dominates the opener and Argentina claims a thrilling victory

The CP Football tournament at the 2025 Youth Parapan American Games kicked off with a day full of excitement, goals, and talent. Chile opened the competition with an overwhelming 15–0 victory over Mexico, showing remarkable teamwork, precision, and offensive power.

From the very beginning, the Chilean squad controlled possession and displayed strong technical ability.

Thomás Valenzuela (#10) was the star of the match, scoring five goals and leading Chile’s relentless attack. By the 8th minute, Chile had already set the tone for what would be a dominant display. Despite the heavy defeat, Mexico showed admirable determination and continued to fight until the final whistle.

In the second match of the day, Argentina defeated Colombia 2–1 in one of the most competitive games so far. Colombia struck first through Samuel Montenegro (#5), who gave his team an early lead.

Argentina quickly reacted, with Lautaro Suárez (#4) equalizing before halftime and Bautista Suárez (#10) securing the win in the second half. It was a showcase of intensity, teamwork, and mutual respect — a perfect reflection of the spirit of the Youth Parapan American Games.
