2019 updates to CP Football rules

The International Federation of CP Football (IFCPF) is pleased to share the latest updates and developments for the Sport Rules and Ranking Points Procedure of CP Football.

As a dynamic and world class sport, our network of vounteers and staff work hard to continually develop CP Football for all involved. We would like to thank all those people who give their time, expertise and passion to support our work.

IFCPF Modifications to the Laws of the Game

CP Football is played according to the IFAB Laws of the Game. These Laws of the game are accompaned by the 'IFCPF Modifications to the Laws of the Game'  to make the sport of CP Football more attractive and accessible for ambulant players with Cerebral Palsy and other neurological conditions.
 

This document states the IFCPF Modifications to the Laws of the Game which are applicable in all IFCPF sanctioned tournaments for CP Football. The IFCPF Modifications to the Laws of the Game should be read in conjunction with the current issue of the IFCPF Competition Rules.
 

These amendments to the International Football Association Board (IFAB) Laws of the Game applicable to CP Football (also known as Football 7-a-side) should be read in conjunction with the current issue of the IFAB Laws of the Game which are available at www.theifab.com.

IFCPF Competition Rules

This document states the IFCPF Competition Rules which are applicable in all IFCPF sanctioned tournaments for CP Football. The IFCPF Competition Rules should be read in conjunction with the current issue of the IFCPF Modifications to the Laws of the Game.

IFCPF Ranking Points Procedure

The logic of the IFCPF Ranking Points Procedure is that any country that participates in CP Football wins points which enable it to climb the World and Regional Ranking Lists.
 

The Ranking Lists are maintained for the following reasons:

  • Realistic comparison of teams
  • To support seding for tournament draws
  • Highlight worldwide, regional and national participation
  • Promotion of CP Football
