IFCPF Copa Amรฉrica Squads Released
NewsThe squads for the upcoming 2025 IFCPF Copa Amรฉrica, starting on Saturday, October 11, have been revealed.
Reigning regional champions Brazil have shuffled the pack ahead of the Solanas showdown, picking only four players who were part of the IFCPF Men's World Cup squad last November. Only Heitor Luiz, Vinicius Ribeiro, Evandro de Oliveira and Angelo Matheus keep their places from Salou.
Argentina will again call on the services of Mariano Morana, who is the top scorer in Copa América/ParaPanAM competitions held in the IFCPF era, with 25. 17-year-old Augusto Larrondo is in line for a tournament debut, with the youngster one of three inclusions from last year's Men's World Cup squad.
The United States of America welcome back veterans Josh Brunais and Adam Ballou after both were not involved in Spain last year. Bonner Rinn, the first person with cerebral palsy to climb Mount Kilimanjaro unassisted, will be part of the goalkeeping contingent for Stuart Sharp's charges.
Drew Ferguson has named five potential Canada debutants in his squad, with Tarran Tepper, Keagan Caron, Joel Murphy, Owen Dewar and American-born Sam Holmes all available for their first senior caps.
World Championships star Patricio Saavedra is once more part of Chile's travelling squad, as new Head Coach Sebastian Morales hopes to continue the good work the team did last April.
Club team CP Soccer US has elected to use a blend of youth and experience, with 46-year-old Josh McKinney, who has 124 caps for the United States, joining eight teenagers in Peter McGahey's squad.
Uruguay's first squad sees them name relative locals Rodrigo Selva, from Canelones, and Emmanuel Larzabal, from Maldonado. This is the first competitive CP Football squad in the nation's history.
