The International Federation of CP Football (IFCPF), in partnership with the Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF) and with the support of UEFA, successfully delivered the IFCPF Advanced Coaching Course in Astana from July 2-4, 2025.
Hosted at the “House of Football,” the three-day course marked a historic moment for CP Football development in the region, with participants gaining access for the first time to the new Advanced Coaching level in CP Football.
Thirteen coaches from across Kazakhstan took part in this intensive education programme, which focused on national team development and high-performance environments within CP Football. The course combined theoretical knowledge with practical sessions tailored to the unique demands of the international CP game.
Course delivery was led by Sam Turner (England), IFCPF Football Director, and Mohamed Zainudeen (Singapore), IFCPF Coach Developer. Both brought a wealth of international experience, guiding participants through the latest strategies in player development, team structures, and game planning at the elite CP level.
“This course is a major step forward in strengthening Kazakhstan’s capacity to develop national team players and staff in line with international with UEFA coaching standards,” said Sam Turner. “The passion and commitment shown by the coaches and the support from KFF and UEFA reflects a growing investment in inclusive, high-performance sport.”
The initiative also marked a broader milestone in international cooperation in CP Football, reflecting IFCPF’s ongoing efforts to expand elite-level education pathways and raise global standards.
IFCPF extends its gratitude to the Kazakhstan Football Federation for hosting the event and to UEFA for their continued support of inclusive football development. This collaboration exemplifies the power of partnership in advancing opportunities for persons with cerebral palsy in sport.
