France Prepare for Special Matches

News

Every first is notable. Hosting your first match in a sport's history in your country is no different, and France are ready to find out how notable that is.

Ranked number 30 in the IFCPF Men's World Rankings, the French men's national team are set to welcome Finland to Limoges for a pair of friendlies on June 27 and 28.

Having travelled to, and been defeated by, the same opponent away last year, the opportunity has come to face Finland at home, a watershed moment for French CP Football. The occasion is not lost on AFFPC president Jhon Viafara, who is excited about what this might lead to.

"It has not been easy, but as president, I continue to fight for the growth and development of French [CP Football].

"I am confident that we will start seeing strong results soon."

Viafara is also aware of those helping the cause - grateful for particularly the Nouvelle-Aquitage Region, the Haute-Vienne Department and the City of Limoges for their support.

The matches will be played at the Complex Sport Saint Lazare in Limoges, with kick-off for both games slated for 4:30pm.
