Ten years of hard work
Dear public, today we want to recognize and celebrate the outstanding career of Dr. Raul Reina who is the Director of Classification of the International Federation of Cerebral Palsy Football (IFCPF).
Dr. Raul Reina holds a degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences from the University of Extremadura, Spain. He holds a Master's degree in European degree in adapted physical activity from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium and a PhD in Human Motricity. He is currently a professor at the University Miguel Hernandez Elche.
Raul is a worldwide reference researcher in the area of adapted physical activity, highlighting his lines of research related to the inclusion of students with disabilities in the school environment and the classification of athletes with eligible impairments of spasticity, ataxia and athetosis in the field of para-sports.
We are gathered to pay tribute to a person who has dedicated more than 10 years of his life to optimizing the classification processes in footballers with cerebral palsy and other sports for people with disabilities. His great contribution to the classification system has favored a fairer competition allowing more and better opportunities for people with cerebral palsy and other related health conditions in the practice of football.
The award was presented by the President of the International Federation of Cerebral Palsy Football, Jan-Hein Evers.

Estimado público, el día de hoy queremos reconocer y celebrar la destacada trayectoria del Dr. Raúl Reina quien es director de clasificación de la federación internacional de fútbol para personas con parálisis cerebral.
El Dr. Raúl Reina es licenciado en Ciencias de la Actividad Física y del Deporte de la Universidad de Extremadura, España. Posee el grado de Master en el grado Europeo en actividad física adaptada de la Universidad católica de Lovaina en Bélgica y es Doctor en Motricidad Humana. Actualmente es profesor Titular de la Universidad Miguel Hernández Elche.
Raúl es un Investigador referente a nivel mundial en el área de la actividad física adaptada, destacando sus líneas de investigación vinculadas a la inclusión de estudiantes con discapacidad en el ámbito escolar y la clasificación de deportistas con deficiencias elegibles de espasticidad, ataxia y atetosis en el ámbito para-deportivo.
Estamos reunidos para rendir homenaje a una persona quien ha dedicado más de 10 años de su vida en optimizar los procesos de clasificación en el fútbol para personas con parálisis cerebral y otros deportes para personas con discapacidad. Su gran contribución al sistema de clasificación ha favorecido una competencia más justa permitiendo brindar mas y mejores oportunidades a personas con parálisis cerebral y otras condiciones de salud relacionadas en la practica del fútbol.
El reconocimiento será entregado por el presidente de la federación internacional de fútbol para personas con parálisis cerebral Jan-Hein Evers.
