Northern Ireland into final following win over Chile

A Ryan Walker brace helped catapult Northern Ireland into the World Championships Final, as it defeated Chile 5-1.

Mal Donaghy's men will face Scotland in the tournament decider, looking to avenge the 3-0 defeat from earlier in proceedings.

Following Italy's win over Scotland, Northern Ireland knew only a win would keep destiny in their hands, and got off to a great start inside two minutes thanks to a Patricio Saavedra own goal.

David Leavy would double the lead five minutes before half-time, with a deft Ryan Walker pass finding the Rio Paralympian, who fired past Hector Garcia.

After a wonderful Ryan Walker flick to make it 3-0, Chile responded quickly with a goal from Darwin Diaz to give them hope, quickly dashed by another Ryan Walker goal to restore the three-goal lead.

Jordan Walker added another from range, completing the scoring and capping off a wonderful game after two assists of his own. Chile will now face Italy in the third-place playoff.
