The Netherlands - Spain

In a very equal match, the Netherlands had the best chances in the first half. The game went up and down. Spain managed to create a few chances, but the Netherlands was dangerous several times and close to a goal. The bottom of the cross bar saved the Spaniards.

In the second half, the Netherlands kept pushing without getting any major opportunities. In the 54th minute, the game took an unexpected turn. Sem van Helden received his second yellow card and had to leave the field with a red card. Nevertheless, the Netherlands continued to push ahead with one man less and Jeroen Saedt was given a great opportunity. It looked like it was going to be a draw when Spain surprisingly scored from nowhere with a placed header.

Final score 0 โ€“ 1.
