Ireland - Germany

In an attractive first half, Ireland eventually managed to go into the break with a comfortable score. It was number 10, Dillon Sheridan, who opened the scoreboard. Ireland then happily took a 2-0 lead through an unfortunate own goal by Frederic Heinze. Although it didn't look like the score would develop any further in Ireland's favour, Jimmy Naughton also scored 3 โ€“ 0.

In the second half, the game became more and more intense. Germany tried to do everything they could to get back into the game, but it was Ireland who managed to score 2 more times and also missed a penalty.

Final score 5 โ€“ 0.
