USA - Australia

In a fantastic final match U.S.A. beats Australia with 4 – 2 after extra time. In the first half Australia surprisingly dominated the match and score the opening goal in the 23rd minute by their captain Eloise Northam. During half time U.S.A. coach Tricia Taliaferro made some excellent substitutions which resulted in two goals scored by the players that entered the game. First it was Annie Wickett who equelized in the 32nd and just two minutes later number 10 Jesslyn Kuhnel scored with a fantastic kick in the top corner. Australia gave not up and their goalkeeper Katelyn Smith shot them to extra time.
In the extra time it was Jesslyn Kuhnel again who gave U.S.A. the lead and after the 4th goal from Emma Martin the first Wolrd Champion in CP Football was decided.
IFCPF is looking back to a fantastic first Woman’s World Cup tournament with the U.S.A. as a deserved winner and with all players that performed to their best supported by professional staff.
