Hosts miss out on final in very close match

An intense game of great football from both sides did not disappoint the large crowd of spectators. Poised on the edge of their seats, fans for both teams were witnessed great chances and fantastic goals from both teams.

Destined to go to extra time and potentially penalties, normal time finished 2 - 2 taking the game into two halves of 10 minutes more nervousness for everyone involved. With a place in the final at stake, extra time was taken the very end, for Thailand to upset the hosts with a winning goal.

Malaysia will play Singapore for the bronze medal, and Thailand will meet Indonesia in the final.
