Brazil - Venezuela

Brazil opened the scoring through Gustavo de Jesus, after only two minutes of play; they scored two more in the first half, Joรฃo Victor and Juan Nunes getting the goals. Venezuela pulled a goal back through Enderson Enrique and came close to scoring more before the half-time whistle.

In the second half, the outstanding performer was Brazilโ€™s goalkeeper Nicholas Gabriel. Venezuela went on the attack, but the โ€˜keeper made a series of excellent saves. Brazil went on to score another four times in the second half, with Venezuela scoring two consolation goals.

Wagner Melo, coach of the Brazilian side, explained how the team is going to prepare for the final. โ€œWeโ€™re going to concentrate more and fix some mistakes that happened during the game. I hope the boys can bring everything they practised in training onto the pitch.โ€

Team captain, Joรฃo Victor, said the team is confident for the final: โ€œThe expectation is good, the boys are really concentrated.โ€
