Brazil - Colombia

Brazil made their debut in the competition soon afterwards, facing a well-organized Colombian team. Spurred on by the spectators, who filled the stands at the Paralympic Centre, the two teams played out a well-contested match, with impressive individual moves, physical battles in midfield and even a missed penalty. The man of the match was Brazilโ€™s number 10, Joรฃo Victor, who scored the winning goal for the hosts.

โ€œIt was a good test for the boys on their debut, it helped to settle their nerves. But we noticed some mistakes on the pitch and weโ€™re going to do our best to fix them for our next matchโ€, said Brazilโ€™s coach Wagner Lopes.
