Brazil - Netherlands

The first semi-final match of the day pitted Brazil against the Netherlands. Both teams came into the semi-final having played games displaying good organization on both sides of the ball, and with good goalkeeping. These qualities were again on display. Brazil’s Felipe Rafael Silva Gomes scored within the first three minutes of play, and Brazil continued to have a slight upper hand throughout most of the game.

Going into the second half, Brazil’s Jonatas Santos Machado opened scoring to make the game 2 – 0. Netherlands was able to answer back with a goal by Jeroen Saedt to pull the Netherlands within 1. Brazil then shut down much of the Dutch defense. Evandro de Oliveira Gomes De Souza scored on a penalty kick to give Brazil a 3 – 1 lead. Wanderson Silva de Oliveira scored one more, and the Netherlands was not able to answer back. The game ended 4 – 1
