Brazil - Netherlands

The first semi-final match of the day pitted Brazil against the Netherlands. Both teams came into the semi-final having played games displaying good organization on both sides of the ball, and with good goalkeeping. These qualities were again on display. Brazilโ€™s Felipe Rafael Silva Gomes scored within the first three minutes of play, and Brazil continued to have a slight upper hand throughout most of the game.

Going into the second half, Brazilโ€™s Jonatas Santos Machado opened scoring to make the game 2 โ€“ 0. Netherlands was able to answer back with a goal by Jeroen Saedt to pull the Netherlands within 1. Brazil then shut down much of the Dutch defense. Evandro de Oliveira Gomes De Souza scored on a penalty kick to give Brazil a 3 โ€“ 1 lead. Wanderson Silva de Oliveira scored one more, and the Netherlands was not able to answer back. The game ended 4 โ€“ 1
