Official Statement - ANDE (Brazil)
NewsAs part of its ongoing commitment to transparency, integrity, and good governance, the International Federation of CP Football (IFCPF) periodically provides updates regarding classification matters and programme oversight within its member federations.
Brazil is not currently suspended from IFCPF competitions. However, the disciplinary sanction issued by IFCPF remains in place and its activation is conditionally suspended pending the implementation of agreed corrective measures.
This means that participation in IFCPF competitions is currently permitted subject to the continued implementation of the corrective measures and monitoring requirements established by IFCPF.
IFCPF acknowledges the constructive engagement of ANDE (Brazil) in recent discussions and welcomes the federation’s stated commitment to strengthening its national classification framework and governance processes.
Participation in future competitions, including the 2026 IFCPF World Cup, will continue to be dependent upon the satisfactory implementation of these measures and ongoing compliance with IFCPF regulations and classification standards.
STATEMENT FROM ANDE (BRAZIL)
A spokesperson from ANDE said:
“ANDE welcomes the continued dialogue with IFCPF and reaffirms its commitment to strengthening Brazil’s national classification framework and ensuring full alignment with IFCPF regulations and international best practices.
As part of this process, ANDE has initiated several actions aimed at strengthening classification governance and education. These include inviting IFCPF’s Head of Classification to participate in the Brazilian Classifiers Update Seminar and introducing new procedures within national competitions, including the requirement for additional medical documentation as part of the eligibility verification process for the Brazilian National Championship.
ANDE remains committed to working collaboratively with IFCPF to support the integrity and long-term development of CP Football in Brazil.”
IFCPF will continue to monitor progress through its established governance and classification oversight processes and looks forward to ongoing cooperation with ANDE as these measures are implemented.
