Fantastic discussions at virtual General AssemblyNews
On this occassion, not even COVID could stop play as IFCPF held its General Assembly online via zoom with great success. It was a great pleasure to bring the CP Football family together and see familiar faces from all around the world.
A huge thank you to the IFCPF Management Team and Board, but especially to Freddy Farhat and Shashank Kamble of Aurora (Jordan NGO) for their support in the operations and making the event run smoothly.
IFCPF gave key updates on the past two years and the two years ahead, calling on the CP Football family and membership to pull together through these challenging times for the future success of CP Football.
Motions to increase the size of the IFCPF World Cup and to continue investigation into the on-field observation assessment in classification were both passed, following thoughtful and positive discussions from a range of members. Differences of opinion are a huge opportunity for growth and development, especially when delivered in a positive and meaningful way to bring about the best for our athletes.
IFCPF would like to thank both Pete Ackerley and Chul-Soon Shin for their dedication and support over the past years in their positions on our Board. Both have now stepped down from these positions and did not seek re-election.
We would also like to congratulate IFCPF President Jan-Hein Evers and Member at Large (Americas) Jim Moorhouse who will both continue for four more years. Dr Annathurai Ranganathan was also approved once again as a Co-opted Board member until the next General Assembly.
It is also our pleasure to welcome to the IFCPF Board:
- Anne Doe - Member at Large (Africa)
- Iyoko Jin - Member at Large (Asia-Oceania)
- Ricky Treacy - Member at Large (Europe)
We look forward to working with you all to grow and develop our beautiful sport.
Thank you to all our IFCPF members around the world who help to provide amazing opportunities for so many players to fall in love with football.
