Group A

Italy took 5th place in the 2022 IFCPF World Championships when they beat Egypt during both team first appearance at the 'world' level. The Netherlands finished 5th in the 2022 IFCPF World Cup after drawing with England but taking the victory in the penalty shoot-out after extra time.

Italy make their first appearance at European level, whilst the Netherlands will be looking to improve on their 4th place finish in the 2018 IFCPF European Championships.

England finished 6th in the 2022 IFCPF World Cup, and 5th in the 2018 IFCPF European Championships. They will be looking to get victory over the Netherlands as they seek to break into the top four, having also finished 5th in 2014.

Spain finished 7th in the 2018 IFCPF European Championships and 10th in the 2022 IFCPF World Cup, but could they be challenging for one of the top spots.

Group B

Group B gets an exciting start, with two close rivals in Ireland and Scotland. Ireland took 7th in the 2022 IFCPF World Cup, and also had a great 2018 IFCPF European Championships, taking home the bronze medal. After a few years away from the international scene, Scotland took the 2022 IFCPF World Championships by storm, narrowly beaten by Colombia to finish in second place. In their last European Championships in 2014, Scotland finished 6th so will be looking to show what they're made by improving on that this year.

Germany finished 7th in the 2018 European Championships, two places higher than 9th in 2014. Could they continue this trend or maybe break into the top half of the final standings?

A true depiction of determination and resilience, Ukraine won the 2022 IFCPF World Championships showing themselves as true legends of the game. Winning the 2014 IFCPF European Championships and second place in 2018, spectators will certainly be looking forward to seeing them again in the finals stage of this competition.

Good luck

The International Federation of CP Football and the entire CP Football family wish all teams the best of luck for the upcoming 2023 IFCPF European Championships in Oristano, Italy from 2nd to 10th June 2023.
