Brazil - USA

The second game of the day saw Para Panamerican Games winners Brazil take on the United States, who finished fifth in that tournament. Brazil dominated the first half, with a number of goal scoring opportunities. Jonatas Santos Machado was the first Brazilian to put a goal in the back of the net. Both sides made a number of errors, including three handballs, 2 against Brazil and 1 against the United States, but neither team was able to capitalize on set pieces. Evandro de Oliveira Gomes de Souza scored Brazilโ€™s second goal midway through the first half. The Americans were only kept in the game because of the play of their goalkeeper Keith Johnson.
