Chile score in stoppage time, draw 2-2 with 5-man Italy

Francisco Saavedra's late equaliser earned his team a point, after Italy had two players sent off.

Saavedra bundled home the rebound after Darwin Diaz's header hit the crossbar in the third minute of second-half added time, after an immense spell of pressure from his team.
The scoring started in the ninth minute when a wonderful free-kick from Thomas Valenzuela found its way in, but Italy would respond with two goals in under four minutes from Antonio Marigliano, including one from outside the box.

Italy had both Gianluca Li Vecchi and Simon Xanina sent off for violent conduct in the second-half, and despite some wonderful saves from goalkeeper Daniele Beccegato to keep Italy in front, Chile's number 11 broke the resistance. Chile and Italy both play tomorrow against South Korea and Northern Ireland respectively.
